Carol is a superstar in the Knitting and Crochet world.

Her businesses include Cool Wool and the Cool Wool School.

Not a name you may have heard of but she is the lady who is ensuring that your knitting and crochet patterns are correct!


Yes, she is a technical editor for knitting and crochet patterns (like a proofreader for patterns)


Carol isn't just a technical editor, she is on a mission to teach her skill to others and over the last few years Carol has trained over 40 to her standards (which are very high) in both Knitting and Crochet tech editing.


You will also see her name being used as a designer and a teacher of advanced skills, where she gets the time I have no idea!

Magic 15 Minutes meets Lyndsey Allen

  This week we meet Lyndsey! I first met Lyndsey in 2021 when she attended a Workshop run by Carol, it would be a year later before I started working with Lyndsey directly. Like so many of us, Lyndsey has a passion that she wishes to spend more time on and she knew that just running crochet classes wouldn't help with that 'residual income' so when she took the crochet tech editing course she found a way to combine her analytical mind and her passion and see a way to earn money from what had been a side hustle and hobby... when you have  a passion it comes out in everything you do, when you watch the video you will see what I mean. Magic 15 Minutes presents Jenny Street

Meet Jenny! I met Jenny about 2 years ago when she took a workshop with Carol who I collaborate with. Jenny had a spark about her, that person who when you talk with each other you just connect and you realise that this person has something special, her strap line on her website is Crafting Dreams, Stitching Expertise… I mean, wow! Jenny is not only a very talented creative woman, but she has a strong passion to want to help people (especially children) to find a calm in this crazy world using crochet as a technique to keep the hands busy and the mind occupied.  She says the best thing about teaching children and adults crochet is that you accept that you can make mistakes, and when you do, you simply undo what you have done and go again…  The thought process is so simple, but so important for us all to remember.
